• Bristol RISC OS Users meeting - 14th March & change of regular day

    From Vince M Hudd@21:1/5 to All on Sun Mar 10 17:45:06 2024
The next meeting of for Bristol RISC OS Users will take place on Thursday,
14th March, marking the first meeting of a changed schedule.

Previously, the group met on the second Wednesday of odd months, and until further notice meetings will take place on the second Thursday.

If you are local to Bristol and wish to attend, the place to be on that
    evening from around 7:30 is:

The Open Arms pub (formerly the Colston Arms),
    St Michaels Hill,
    BS2 8DX.

There's a limited amount of free parking available outside the pub, with metered parking on local streets if that's taken. For anyone travelling by
bus, the pub is around fifteen minutes walk from places like Stokes Croft
    and the Bearpit roundabout.

The meetings are generally informal in nature; just a group of fellow RISC
OS users getting together for a pint, a bite to eat, and a chat. There
isn't a formally arranged speaker, but topics can include upcoming or
recent events (so this month, expect last month's Southwest Show to be discussed, as well as next month's Wakefield Show), and those attending
may bring along their own projects to show off and discuss.

With that in mind, Chris Hall is hoping to be able to tell the group of
that he has successfully prepared a 1TB NVMe drive for use with RISC OS on
a Waveshare IO board, with the drive benefiting from a 750GB partition
    (with a 4kB sector size).

There is a low-traffic mailing list for the group, which anyone is welcome
to join. The sign-up page can be found on the group's website at:
