I am proud to announce the release of 12MinsTo9, a puzzle game based
on the popular 2048 web browser game. This version runs in the RISC OS
desktop.
The game is played on a 4x4 grid, on which tiles with values of 2 or 4
appear randomly.
Slide the tiles left, right, up or down. The tiles will slide as far
as they can go in the direction you choose. They will only stop if
they collide with another tile or the edge of the grid.
If two tiles of the same value collide, they will merge into one tile
with double the value. The aim of the game is to progressively combine
tiles to reach the 2048 tile before the grid fills up.
12MinsTo9 is written in BBC BASIC and should be compatible with any
computer running RISC OS 3.1 or later.
It is released under the Apache 2.0 licence with source available on
GitHub. The game itself can be downloaded from my new website at
