Next weekend is the 27th Wakefield Show, again being held at the BRADFORD
Cedar Court Hotel, open from 10:30 am until 4:30 pm, with a low entry cost
of just 2 GBP.
So what is there to see? There will be 21 exhibitor stands for you to
explore, and see updated software and hardware from exhibitors including R-Comp/RCI, RISCOS Open, RISCOS Developments, RISCOSbits, Sine Nomine,
etc. We also have several new exhibitors attending for the first time. You
will be able to see things like the new FAST computer, Pinebook Pro,
4te2 in action.
Look out for other announcements direct from the exhibitors in the usual places.
There is the usual Show Theatre programme of talks throughout the day. The
full list is on the show website (www.wakefieldshow.org.uk).
The Wakefield RISCOS Computer Club is in its 40th anniversary year and we expect to have an anniversary cake to be consumed on the day at the show. Thanks must go to Richard Browns family for providing the cake.
WROCC will also be running a Prize Draw, with 5 prizes to be won ranging
from a copy of TextEase Home Studio, a First Edition of Acorn A World in Pixels, a Desktop Dock, and 2 x 50 GBP vouchers which can be used in part exchange at any exhibitors stand. Tickets will cost 1 GBP each (Maximum
of 2 tickets per person). The Draw will take place at 2:45 pm straight
after the R-Comp talk in the theatre.
We will also have our usual Charity stall raising money for the Wakefield Hospice. Why not visit the stall and find those interesting items, and so
help raise valuable funds for the Hospice?
