• Upcoming Wakefield Show

From Chris Hughes@21:1/5 to All on Thu Mar 30 16:27:33 2023
We are now only a few weeks away from the Wakefield Show on 22nd April, to
be held at the Bradford Cedar Court Hotel - the same venue as last year.

The show website at www.wakefieldshow.org.uk has all the main details. We
will have a full theatre programme of talks from RISCOS Open, R-Comp,
RISCOS Developments and Sine Nomine - the schedule is on the website.

The floor plan and full list of exhibitors is also now available on the
show website. We have a couple of new exhibitors this year, with Elesar
having their own stand, and in addition Thomas Milius is popping over from Germany to show us his range of both commercial and non-commercial
    software for the first time.

There will be the usual Charity Stall selling donated goods to raise money
for Wakefield Hospice - please do give generously for this worthwhile
cause. Over the years since we started the shows we have raised over
£27,000 for charity, all thanks to the wonderful support of you the
visitors - so, a big thank you to all who have contributed!

Once again we will be running a prize draw, with FIVE prizes to be won,
ranging from the new Desktop Dock from RISCOSbits, to TextEase Studio Home
from Elesar, and the chance to win one of two £50 vouchers that can be
used in full or part with any of the exhibitors selling things. Tickets
will cost just £1 each (maximum 2 tickets per person), and can be
purchased from the Wakefield Club on stand 1. The draw is scheduled to
    take place at 2:45 pm.

As it‘s also the Wakefield RISCOS Computer Club‘s 40th birthday in April,
will have a birthday cake at the show for visitors to consume!

The show will be open between 10:30 am and 4:30 pm. Entry costs just £2
per person, with free entry for under 12‘s if accompanied by an adult.
