Despite the ongoing shortage of Raspberry Pi boards, we are pleased to
announce that we have procured a small supply of stock for the SW Show, so
will have a number of 4te2 computers available in a range of
specifications ranging from pure RISC OS models to RISC OS+Linux units
with large SSDs etc.
Whilst the current price-situation on Pi hardware prevents significant
price discounting, 4te2 computers sold at the show will be supplied with
an extremely useful free hardware upgrade. We'll leave it as a surprise
as to exactly what, but suffice to say that it will be something that'll
get plenty of use.
4te2 computers have received various updates recently, including updated
OS and firmware, new builds of the 4teTools software unlocking high
performance modes in excess of 2Ghz, and new networking and other
features.
The disc image has expanded with new complete applications including the popular Ovation Pro DTP package and full-version SparkFS with thanks to
David Pilling.
The javascript-capable 4teBrowse also received an update this week,
although for political reasons, it is kept a few versions behind the full
Iris browser (which you can pick up for free at the show on the RISC OS Developments stand).
Best wishes,
Andrew
