It is now only a week to go before the SouthWest RISC OS Show at the Arnos Manor hotel in Bristol - Saturday Feb 22nd.
The venue is easily accessible by road or public transport (unlike the old Webbington location), so we hope as many folks as possible can make the
trip.
This year, the show is set to be one of the best yet, with several new exhibitors, and the welcome return of MW Software from Germany, who
haven’t been able to make the last few RISC OS events. The exhibition will
be taking over even more space in the hotel than last year, to ensure that
both exhibitors and guests have more room to enjoy the event.
The show will see the launch of several new products, as well as all the
latest hardware releases from major RISC OS companies.
We'll also have the "live launch" of the RISC OS Direct project. This is a combination software and video project with the goal of spreading RISC OS outside of its usual audiance. The video series will introduce RISC OS to
new users, whilst also giving plenty of tips, tricks, and history for
existing users. Plus, we think everyone will enjoy the expansive
supporting software suite designed to build on the excellent work started
by ROOL with their Pi distribution, but expanding into something that will
give Pi users the best possible experience of Open Source RISC OS and the myriad software applications it offers. There will be live-streaming of
the RISC OS Direct launch, as well as show coverage and interviews. RISC
OS Developments will also have RISC OS Direct (micro)SD cards available to
give out to new/returning users who make the trip.

It is still not quite too late (but almost) if you’d like a table to show
off what you've been doing with RISC OS, but please get in contact this weekend, as we need to finalise everything at the start of the week.
Best wishes, and hope to see you there!
Andrew
