The RISC OS GCCSDK developers are pleased to announce the GNU Compiler Collection version 4.7.4 RISC OS release 6, which is now available for download.
This release updates GCC 4.7.4 release 5 with the latest improvements
and bug fixes.
The changes include
- Improve shared library loading speed.
- Shared memory improvements
- Add support for running statically linked binaries that contain PIC
- mmap implementation
- include/paths.h: New header. This header is common on Unix systems, and contains a reduced set of defines from other platforms that are relevant to UnixLib.
- include/pthread.h: Fix static initialisers.
The release can be downloaded from the riscos.info repositories using
PackMan, which will fetch and install all the pieces for you, or you
can follow the manual installation instructions. For more details see:
