  • Fireworkz Pro 2.31 and Messenger Pro 8.05 released

    R-Comp is pleased to announce the release of Fireworkz Pro 2.31 and
    Messenger Pro 8.05. Both are available to download via !Store now, free upgrades to existing 2.3x/8.xx owners respectively.

    We should have new CDs available at the show (the CDs also contain the
    Windows versions of both programs plus extra goodies) as low cost
    purchases for those who like physical versions.

    Fireworkz Pro 2.31
    =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

    The main enhancement in Fireworkz Pro 2.31 is a revamp of the MS Excel
    saving facility, which allows you to save Fireworkz Pro spreadsheets in
    .xls format for use on PC/Mac/Linux spreadsheet programs.

    The older versions were quite limited in terms of the size of sheets that
    could be exported. 2.31 improves this so that your larger sheets should
    now export cleanly.

    Additionally .xls export has resolved issues with BLANK records which
    could result in file validation errors in modern version of Excel.

    Loading .xls files now also preserves blank padding row/columns for compatibility.

    Matrix functions M_DETERMN() and M_INVERSE() are now significantly faster.

    VALUE() function will now attempt to correctly handle dates as well as
    numbers with currency and thousands separator character.

    Complex number handling functions are also improved.

    The upgrade is free to users of v2.30+
    Users of v2.2x can upgrade for 12.50ukp.



    Messenger Pro 8.05

    Mpro 8.05 features a range of zero page fixes with many thanks to Dave
    Higton for his assistance in finding/fixing these. Whilst we doubt these
    would have caused any "real life" issues, they did flag up in the debug
    logs on recent OS builds, so it is nice to see them resolved.

    Performance on SD card based machines is also improved (often
    significantly) so we hope Pi users will enjoy this update.

    There have also been some performance improvements in folder redraw and processing.
