    Dear all,

A RISC OS version of the famous "Game of Life" is ready for download at

    www.riscos.sprie.nl/Pages/GameLife.html

The Game of Life is about 50 years old, and invented by the English mathematician John Conway. It lets cells (black squares on a white grid)
evolve according to 3 simple rules. The result is often quite
    fascinating.

The larger the screen resolution the better. The largest screen that !GoL
(Game of Life) has so far been tested on is 2560 x 1440, with a grid of 160
x 90 squares, but I'm curious about even larger screens... Anyhow, the
program should work on any grid between 20 x 20 and 200 x 200, albeit with likely different results. After all, in theory the grid is infinite.

The program has been tested on a 4té (Pi4) and an ARMiniX, as well as on VirtualAcorn and RPCemu on a premium HP Windows PC. Only the 4té is fast
enough to run the program in native BASIC. Slower hardware however will
benefit from the compiled version that runs by default

The source is included, as well as a short manual in PDF format.

    Kind regards,
    Paul Sprangers
