Possible RONWUG Wednesday 25th August 2021
We're hoping to have a meeting this month.
Unfortunately it has not been possible to arrange a meeting for the 3rd Wednesday, however we are still hopeful we will be able to make it on
the 4th Wednesday (25th). If this goes ahead, it will be a one off, and
we'll be going back to the 3rd Wednesday as our regular slot.
This date has not been confirmed. A further message will be sent if/when
we can confirm. If you haven't seen a confirmation message please check
the website (
http://ronwug.org/ForthcomingMeetings) for confirmation
before travelling on the day.
As it is comparatively short notice after a long break and the day has
been changed from the expected one, it may be that some people can't
make it - it would be helpful for planning if previously regular
attendees could let me know either way if they are likely to come.
Please plan to bring a face covering with you.

RONWUG Meetings - members, location & times
Meetings are open to all interested in RISC OS computers and there are
no membership or entrance fees. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday
of every month:
7:20pm for 7:30pm, normally 3rd Wednesday of each month
Trafford Metrovick Rugby & Cricket Club
Finnybank Road
Sale
Cheshire
M33 6LR
There will be RONWUG members at the venue from around 7:20pm, and
probably until around 10pm (but you can arrive and leave whenever you
like). There is no certainty that the bar in the club will be open, but
there is an off license and a Chinese takeaway a few minutes walk away
(and a pizza parlour slightly further - do ask if you would like
directions to any of these). Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.
Members frequently bring their hardware & software problems to the
meetings and there is usually time for such even when we have a formal
speaker. Email Steve at the address below to check we have access to any equipment you may need.
The venue is just a few hundred yards from M60 J7, with plentiful free
parking right outside, and easy, ground floor, access. It is on the bus
route from Manchester city centre, and is also about fifteen to twenty
minutes walk from Dane Road Metro station. Contact us as below if you
need more details. If you're expecting to rely on public transport
please check that it is running as you expect.
Steve Potts.
