I have just released my new freeware application !SSI.
It is a simple program to parse SHTML pages for Server Side Includes (SSI) statements and replace them by the result of the execution.
There seems to be no standard definition on commands and parameters for SSI.
As everyone seems to cook its own soup I doing this too ;-).
My SSI variant is loosely based on the W3C Jigsaw SSI documentation.
!SSI is intended to be integrated into web servers. So I adapted my freeware web server !HTTPServ accordingly.
To demonstrate interaction of !SSI with !HTTPServ and BBC BASIC I added a simple chessboard example to the examples of !HTTPServ.
!SSI and !HTTPServ can be downloaded either from my homepage
http://thomas-milius-stade.dnshome.de/indexE.htm
Section Computer activities
or directly
http://thomas-milius-stade.dnshome.de/Download/Freeware/ssi.zip http://thomas-milius-stade.dnshome.de/Download/Freeware/httpsv.zip
and also from !Store under HTTPServ (which now includes !SSI)
I hope anyone is finding the tool useful. Any feedback is welcome.
Regards
Thomas Milius
