In addition to using USB Audio Class 2 Stereo DAC + ADCs like the Focusrite
2i2 version now can also:
1) Now use a USB Audio Class 1 device like the Behringer UCA202 as both a
DAC and ADC symultaneously for 16bit (2 byte/sample) stereo input + output. Although these deliver poorer performance a Class compliant device should
now work.
2) Now allows the user to define their own 'User' waveform to be played out
for specific tests, etc.
As supplied Version, 1.00 comes with a user waveform I call the "Wave From Hell" as it is designed to torture-test DAC!s So use this particular
waveform with care. :-)
Its purpose is outlined here http://www.audiomisc.co.uk/HFN/OverTheTop/OTT.html
if anyone wishes to know more. But the point of the new capability is that
the user can change the waveform to suit their own preference for tests.
The source code for !USBScopePlus is included in the application. The
program examples what can now be done using Colin's library on a version of
the OS that supports USB Audio.
