The next online meeting of the RISC OS User Group Of London will be:
CD, DVD, and Blu-Ray Burning
Presented by Steffen Huber, hubersn Software
Monday 15th February 2021, 7:45pm
Online via Zoom, meeting open from 7.30pm
http://www.rougol.jellybaby.net/meetings/
After many years of beta releases, at the end of last year version 3 of CDVDBurn was released, finally providing support for all the new machines
with USB drives in addition to S-ATA and IDE connections.
CDVDBurn3 provides a complete mastering solution for Audio CDs and Data
Discs on all currently available media - CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R,
DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM, BD-R and BD-RE (that's Blu-Ray to you and me,
giving access to 25GB per disc).
But compatibility with new machines and new writers is not all that is new
in CDVDBurn 3. A major new feature called "Disc Extractor" is now
integrated that allows direct access to data discs in ISO9660/Joliet
format with the help of the pseudo filer. It uses CDVDBurn3's special
"large ISO image" format to work around the RISC OS file size limit.
Steffen Huber will tell us the interesting history of CDBurn/CDVDBurn development and the state of its latest incarnation, and why you still
want to be able to write optical media in 2021.
This meeting will be held online via Zoom. Please contact us to receive
