It has been just over two years since Anthony Bartram last gave us an
update on AMCOG developments, and at the rate he produces software that's
a long time! This month Tony will not only be talking about what he has developed but also the process he goes through along the way.
Firstly he'll cover new RISC OS developments:
- Spy Mission: The Ice Caves of Dr Atom
- RDSP Tracker
- Development Kit Updates
- RDSP manual (needs editing)
Then talk about the porting of Star Mine to Windows and Linux:
- Using the AMCOG Dev Kit and the AGK
- Using RISC OS for creative work
- Abstraction layers and other BASICs
- Promoting RISC OS
- Learning about Marketing (its hard!)
Tony will then move on to the game development process. Via a quick look
at the AMCOG titles he will talk about the general creative process that
he uses:
- Concept art -> proof of concept -> build out
- Mock upsĀ -> rotoscoping / drawing / pixel art / building models
- Brainstorming / dreams and stream of consciousness thinking
e.g. Game Concept : Are You Ready Human? / sketches and other plans.
This meeting will be held online via Zoom. Please contact us to receive
