• WROCC Meeting - Mike Cook - 7th Oct

From WROCC@21:1/5 to All on Thu Oct 1 22:36:28 2020
    WAKEFIELD RISC OS COMPUTER CLUB

    Mike Cook
    ---------

Meeting on Wednesday 7th October at 7.45pm

Mike Cook, whose name will be familiar to many RISC OS users from his hardware-based "Body Building Course" and "Run the RISC" series in The Micro User and Acorn User, will be talking on the theme of "Laser Quest".

This 'virtual' meeting will take place using the Zoom conferencing service. Zoom invitations will be sent out earlier on the day of the meeting, but
only to those who email info2020@wrocc.org.uk expressing their intention of taking part. If you would like to be part of the meeting, please RSVP -- at
the latest by the end of Tuesday 6th October.

If you haven't used Zoom before, we suggest that before Tuesday you try to
join the Zoom test meeting at https://zoom.us/test on the device that you intend to use, in order to check that your system works OK.

It is just a meeting with yourself, but it allows you to check that your
sound and video (if required) are working properly. You might be asked to install the software, but the Zoom website should take you through this. It
is not necessary to sign up for a Zoom account: both the test meeting above
and the Club meeting on Tuesday can be accessed without one.

Annual membership of WROCC is available for those living near and far at
15ukp, but new members receive a 50% discount in their first year of membership: ie. 7.50ukp.

    Members receive:

    * A FREE PDF newsletter with all the latest news and articles.

    * Free entry to meetings, when we're allowed to meet in person again.

    * WROCC Internet Discussion Forum (members & invited guests only).

For further information, please email info2020@wrocc.org.uk or visit the
    Club's website at http://www.wrocc.org.uk/
