Reporter can monitor your machine for commands, problems and errors,
and assists with troubleshooting and fault diagnosis by displaying
information easily in a separate multi-tasking window.
For more technical users it provides Commands and SWIs to use when
debugging programs, especially Wimp programs and Obey files.
The last major release of Reporter was nearly 5 years year ago
(gosh!), but development has not stopped.
Indeed, the main reason why this release has been delayed many times
is the continual refinement and development, resulting in a 'not
quite ready for release' syndrome. The aim is always that Reporter
should not itself cause problems.
However, Reporter v2.72 is now available, and the main changes since
v2.71 are:
* Improved Search facility ...
- Changed the search window to be properly nested in scroll bar.
- Adjust-click reverses the search action.
- Any ? wildcards in search string will match any single character.
- Return will search backwards.
- Added history of last 10 searches, with recall.
* Added ReportErrBlk command and SWI to show SWI error blocks.
* Added ? to show PROC/FN name in BASIC Report command.
* Added BASIC list validation and display to ReportMem command.
* Task option now uses Message_TaskInit not SWI trap.
* AsmLib has default Reporting parm added to PROCReportStart.
* Removed Beep from inactive commands as it caused output screen.
* Improved resilience and documentation of Boot Reporting.
- Uses IfThere & X commands in case Reporter unavailable.
* Miscellaneous fixes and changes, including:
- Improved Control code and Service call handling.
- Changes to use newly allocated Error Block numbers.
- Rewrote ReportHeap and validation (again).
- Changed address validation to cope with softloaded ROMs.
- Stopped SWI Report_Text0 being able to overflow Temp buffer.
- Added SWI numbers to Help for main Reporting SWIs.
* Removed old commands deprecated since v2.70, replaced by ReportOpt.
... and there may be some new bugs!

Development will continue, so please let me know of any suggestions
for changes. Thanks to those who have made suggestions or helped with
testing the many beta versions.
