The RISC OS GCCSDK developers are pleased to announce the GNU Compiler Collection version 4.7.4 RISC OS release 5, which is now available for download.
This release corrects a problem with GCC 4.7.4 release 4 which
created an incompatibility with the earlier versions of the shared
libraries.
It is recommend that you upgrade GCC 4.7.4 or the SharedLibraries
from release 4 to release 5.
The changes include
* include/pthread.h(struct __pthread_cond): Swap "waiting" and
"clock_id" positions in an attempt to retain compatibility with
older versions of Unixlib. (r7348, r7350)
* pthread_cond_init :Fix bug introduced in r7252. The attr parameter
can be NULL, which means use default values. Fixes pthread_cond_init
failure in python3. (r7347)
* Fix _kernel_osbget as it was always returning an error (r7350)
* Implement isblank function (r7349)
The release can be downloaded from the riscos.info repositories using
PackMan, which will fetch and install all the pieces for you, or you
can follow the manual installation instructions. For more details see:

Our thanks go to all those who have contributed to this release.
About GCC for RISC OS
GCC for RISC OS is a complete, free and fully-featured compiler solution
for RISC OS based on the GNU Compiler Collection. It can compile C and C++ using modern standards and assemble ARM code. It also includes support for
RISC OS modules, and usage of the native RISC OS Shared C Library, or the bundled Unix-compatibility library UnixLib as runtime library. It aims to be feature complete above and beyond the commercial RISC OS Open Ltd’s C/C++ compiler suite.
