• Replace CPU in a DS10

    Hi all,

Is it possible to remove the CPU-chip from the motherboard of a DS10
(and replace it by one from another machine)?

If yes, can someone point me to some documentation on how to do this. (I already found out how to remove the cooler on top of it, but the chip it
self looks to be fixed permanently to the board.)

    Regards
    Jouk

Yes. It's a BGA, so it's not that easy to do, but it's possible.

You really don't want to do this at home. http://xmoddz.com/bga-package-replacement-procedure

My DS10 used a zip connector. Find the release.

    Er, um, zif.
