    Got a silly question

Which way do the small buss grant cards go into the buss?

Are the jumper connections on the le

ft or right when the card is inserted??

    Thanks
    JOE

I've seen all sorts of creative BA11 Unibus box orientations, so...
Look for the difference in the height on the notches on the edges of
the stubby bus grant card and insert into the backplane accordingly,
confirming with the matching etch on other Unibus cards or other grant
cards present (yeah, not all of them have that jumper), and use the
same orientation with the grant cards. Or preferably scrounge up some
more of the full-height dual-width grant cards. The depths of the two
notches should prevent the grant cards from fully seating when inserted
    in the wrong orientation.

Just checked. Mine, in a working PDP 11/40 "point" to the back, the traces facing to the end/back of the UNIBUS slots. You can look at a NPG Bus and Grant card, whose orientation is the same (it's a combo card that is in part a grant continuity card),
this is how I confirmed. I also noticed in my 11/05 my grant cards are pointing the wrong way ... that might explain why I am having issues!

Left/right/up/down/top/bottom are all meaningless orientation suggestions for the G727 BR/BG grant continuity module.

The G727 should be inserted into position D of the appropriate slot (positions of the connector blocks are A/B/C/D/E/F). Quad cards go in positions C/D/E/F. Unibus cables in/out of the backplane / terminator modules go in positions A/B. Hex boards of course occupy all of positions A/B/C/D/E/F.

The orientation of the G727 should be such that the electrical traces on the board (there should be four loop traces on one side) face 'side 2 (solder)'. The
other side of the G727 has no traces, and it should face 'side 1 (component)'.
