Or maybe just dislike them. But we like free games, so we keep coming
back. Free is a very convincing argument.

This week's freebies:
* The Evil Within 2
https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/the-evil-within-2
No surprise with this one (we got part one last week,
after all), but welcome anyway. Arguably the better
game in the series, even if its story doesn't stray
too far from the usual tropes in the genre. If you
like horror games, this is one to play.
* Tandem: A Tale of Shadows https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/p/tandem-a-tale-of-shadows-c3f55e
A puzzle-platformer that combines cute and creepy.
Guide a little girl and her teddy bear through a
spooky realm to discover the mystery of a magician's
disappearance. Hey, look; it's another Indie platformer
where a little child can be horrifically killed! This
game's gimmick is that you have to control two
characters (fortunately not simultaneously); the girl
moves objects that projects shadows that teddy - in
another dimension - can use to platform against. Not a bad
game, but I didn't feel it did anything that made it
really stand out from its competitors either. If you
like the genre, great, here's another game but if
you've played "Limbo" or "Among the Sleep" or "Little
Nightmares", and were only moderately engaged, "Tandem"
isn't going to wow you.
Thanks for the freebies, Epic. I'll continue to tolerate you for
another week. See you in seven days!
