Well, I mean, if you're going to be so insistent about it, fine, I
will.

Because otherwise, normally being so cautious about adding to my video
game library, I'd decline. But I wouldn't want to offend. ;-)

I got it, downloading and trying it now.

The 4 to 1 reviews of stuff like "cash grab" and "bad controls"
to one glowing review is not encouraging, but I need a break from
ER and this looks possibly fun for a bit. I'll update with my
impressions afterward.

Oof, yeah unplayable controls. You can't aim up or down, you can
only fly up or down to target enemy drones at that elevation, meanwhile
they can target you from any elevation. I tried remapping some of the
keys and now I can't turn left or right, only strafe l/r which made it even worse, and there's no reset on the controls.

It has a controller mapping, but that only has directions on the left
stick and you can't remap any controls, so you still have to use the kb/
mouse to do everything else.

I'd put this in the unfinished unplayable category.

I'm curious why it opens steam VR when I launch it though, maybe
someone with steam vr can give it a try and see if it's playable
there. I didn't see anything making it worth playing even if so
though.

Honestly, it sort of looks like the Drone mini-game from the newest
(2021) "Comanche" game, which had similarly poor controls and
gameplay. It's from a completely different developer though, so the
connection is tenuous.

But free is free, and the number incremented upwards by one, so it's
not a total loss.
