Looks like the game itself is on sale for a fiver. I'm not really into
driving games any more. The recent freebie Hotshot Racing was fun for a
    few minutes.

I have fond memories of playing the old Colin McRae Rally games
(especially the Japan track in CMR04), but even back then I played
them more to enjoy the visuals than for the gameplay. I generally like
racing games, but Rally games - and Codemaster's Rally games in
particular - always struck the wrong chord with me. It was a mix of
things, I think: the handling of the cars (the constant drifting!), or
the unexciting cars, or the way they locked so much content at the
start of the game, or even how they charged for cheat codes. The
company just never inspired me to stick with any of their titles.

So I was always more of a dabbler when it came to rally games; I never
fully engaged with any of them. Meanwhile, I dove head-first into
arcade racers like "Need for Speed" or (on occasion) full-throttle
sims like the NASCAR games. But I only visited the Rally series to
    gawk at the scenery.

Still... I gotta say, "Dirt Rally 2.0" does have some pretty visuals.
And I just happen to own it already. /AND/ I have a new GPU that needs
testing. I could just install it and see what it's like...

... on the other hand, 110 GB? For a game I'm going to delete after an
hour or two of playing? Maybe not.

Darn, it wants the base game which I don't have! ;P
