I just started Crysis and plan to finish it, but it's supposedly short, so I should get to play Everspace 2 soon.

I bought it J but haven't even booted it up yet. I loved FreeSpace.
Hope it works with my Logitech Extreme 3D pro so I don't have to use a controller.

My controller's working for me. Possibly try unplugging and plugging
your controller back in? I have to do that in a number of games
like ER.

I will try it again. My stick is one of the supported ones and the
controller doesn't work either. I cannot accelerate or turn with
either.

I will give it another shot and then ask for a refund if it doesn't
work again.

Both default to the keyboard and mouse even though they are not
selected.

I do have to keep telling my son to reboot. I've noticed in the last few
years whenever there's a pending update (windows 10+) it breaks
wifi, and it's fine after rebooting which of course finishes the update.

The two most powerful tools of IT: rebooting and Googling for the
answer. With those you can fix 90% of problems thrown in your
direction.

Teaching those tricks to your users can also reduce your workload by
90%. "Don't ask for help until you do these things first".

You know what's scary? It's true in the medical world too. You'd be
surprised how many doctors I've met who google the answers to
questions asked of them. And isn't "have a good night's sleep" the
human equivalent of a reboot?

I don't think it's scary as a lot of doctors you're going to met are
general practitioners (I think that's family doctor in US speak) so they
have a broad but relatively shallow knowledge. They are there to treat
the common stuff and recognise when you need to be passed on to a
specialist for, well someone who is specialised in a condition.

It kinda reminds me of whenever I said I work with computers I'd get
questions about Windows, which I really know nothing about, or even
worse MS Word.
