• FREE GAME: Figment

Another free game... this time on GOG!

    ( Figment
    https://www.gog.com/en/game/figment

This game was offered free on Steam just a few days ago, so instead of
doing any work, I'm just going to copy-paste what I wrote about it
/that/ post into /this/ post. This is called 'being efficient' (which
is definitely not synonymous with 'being lazy'! ;-)

"Figment" is... different. It's feels a lot like"Bastion" crossed with "Psychonauts". I don't want to call it a mobile game, because a) it's
not really* and b) calling it that gives people certain assumptions
about the quality of its gameplay... but it /feels/ a little bit like
a mobile game. It's the... I dunno... the smallness of the game? Maybe
its immediacy? It felt like something you could pick up and put down
at any time rather than something that required you to invest an hour
or three of your life each time you wanted to play it. And that's not necessarily a bad thing - in some ways it added to "Figment's" charm,
but it might be a turn off to some.

Anyway, three days to grab this one. It's DRM free, if that makes it
    any more palatable.

Also, if you already own "Doom 3 BFG Edition" on GOG, they've also
added the original retail "Doom 3" version to your library. This
package also includes the original retail version of the "Resurrection
of Evil" add-on too. The BFG Edition changed the visuals and gameplay
somewhat (and made it so a number of older mods didn't work anymore)
so it's a welcome addition to have the 'old school' "Doom 3" back.

I prefer this on Steam due to achievements but I see no reason not to
add this to GOG. Thank you Spalls.

The truly lazy get others - frustrated with their laziness - to build
those more efficient ways for them ;-)

Laziness is a skill just like any other. ;-)

Don't forget libertines! Thank porn and beer, too.

I found the hand-drawn graphics to be refreshing, but the game not that exciting. It's good to play through just for the graphics though, if
    you're a fan of that. I wouldn't call it a mobile game. It's more
old-school than that. It feels like it should need a VESA driver.
