Be careful with your clicks. That's a lesson I should have taken to
heart a long time ago. But - while trying to uninstall a
just-completed game - carelessness reared its ugly head and a game
that had happily enjoyed a place on my hard-drive for years* got
removed instead. Yup, it's goodbye to "Eurotruck Simulator 2".
Does this mean no more monthly comments on how I've - yet again -
spent hours hauling freight from Czechoslovkia to Iceland? Hell no. As
soon as I realized what I'd done, I quickly hit the "install game"
button and "Eurotruck Simulator 2" re-established itself in its usual
place. It took a lot longer to tweak the game's configuration back to
the way I liked it - all those mods had to be redownloaded, all those
config files edited - but that was more annoyance than difficulty.
There's no story here, no lesson to be learned. It's just a random
thing that happened, a 'day in the life' event that was only notable -
and only to me - because of that heart-sinking feeling when I realized
what I had so stupidly done. But hey, I can't every day be writing
about free games or NFTs ;-)
======================
* well, technically, only a few months since that drive got recently replaced. But the new drive got its drive from an image made of an
older drive, where the game has lived for years... and prior to that,
on an even older drive. Whether that counts or not as 'years on the
hard drive' is the sort of 'Ship of Theseus' issue philosophers love debating.

Well if you haven't seen this one yet it's got everything. NFT's, a
crash of crypto currency and mid-management. >https://kotaku.com/nft-crypto-blockchain-game-fail-bust-dead-1849496441

I have, but with great strength of will managed not to comment on it.
Sure, I burst a few blood vessels in my brain and now I have to learn
how to walk again, but the alternative was to annoy people here with
more NFT talk, and that just wouldn't do! I hope you all appreciate
the sacrifice. ;-)

I mean, holy hell, we don't talk much in here, and NFTs have a lovely schadenfreude to them, so I would love it if you don't have to go on
blood pressure medication by continuing to post about them.

It started of well, by the middle the anticipation was raising to untold >levels and the climax, well I had to sit down and regain my breath :-)
