Not my jam but some of you guys might like it.

I like itch.io. A lot of what are now considered "great Indie games"
got their start (and can still be found) there. If you want to
experience all that's great about Indie publishing, or see some of
that "innovation" and "originality" that we often complain is missing
from triple-A game publishing, Itch.io is probably the place to start.

But it's also where you can see a lot of what makes Indie games so
aggravating. Itch.io's biggest advantage is that pretty much anybody
can distribute games for free* from the itch.io servers. This means
getting your game 'out there' and into player's hands is within the
reach of even the smallest development teams just starting up. But
that also means a lot of what is available on itch.io is very amateur
and low quality. And just because a game mechanic is novel doesn't
mean it's a good idea (although kudos on any developer for trying it
    anyway ;-)

Even when a game makes it big, often what you find on Itch.io often
isn't the refined version that is getting all the accolades - and
sales - but the buggy, early access version that first got the game
noticed. If you want the polished final version, often you need to buy
it from Steam/Epic/GOG/etc... and not itch.io

So while there is a place in the industry for itch.io and the games
you find there (and I'm thrilled it exists), it is not necessarily a
    good fit for every gamer.

TL;DR: I'll just wait until I see this game on Steam before I consider
getting it. I've a big enough backlog I don't need to go looking for
    new experiences.

(But thanks for the notification anyway! ;-)

the game, but doesn't charge a fee for a developer's account.
