• Free Game: Virtua Verse

It's Thursday, so you know what that means: free game on Epic. This
    week...

No, wait. It's Friday. Also it's on GOG. I'm confused. But the game is
still free, so I'll get over it.

This is a new one to me. It's an third-person point-n-click adventure
game that utilizes retro-graphics (and faux chiptune soundtrack) and
has a strong cyberpunk vibe. Think "Kings Quest" crossed with
"Cyberpunk 2077" and you'll have the right idea. You'd think I'd snarl
at this one; I can't really engage with cyberpunk, quite dislike
faux-retro visuals, and don't play many adventure games anymore, but
there's something sorta appealing about "Virtua Verse". The reviews
are pretty good, although there are some complaints about the puzzles
(a 'story mode' tones down the puzzle difficulty for those who want
it). So much to my surprise, I grab this freebie with some eagerness,
    and may even play it.

All that, and it's free. Good job, GOG!

I may actually try this freebie. I like the graphics (a little less
purple wouldn't hurt though) and I am ok with Cyberpunk. I mean, I
prefer traditional fantasy because I am boring, but I am ok with
    Cyberpunk.

    Thanks Spalls.

I'll pass since I am not a fan of adventure genre.
