• FREE GAME: "Tell Me Why"

From Spalls Hurgenson@21:1/5 to All on Thu Jun 2 21:00:01 2022
Another Thursday freebie, 'cept this time on Steam.

    Tell Me Why
    https://store.steampowered.com/app/1180660/Tell_Me_Why/

This is an Indie adventure; despite the "free in June" tag, you get to
keep it past that date so long as you snag it before July 1st. The
game itself is vaguely reminiscent of "Life Is Strange", which is no
surprise since the same developer made both. Both games feature young
adults, supernatural activities in the mundane world, and strong
character interactions. Is it any good? I've no idea. But it's free,
and that's all that matters, right?

Get it before July 1st and find out for yourself.

(Apparently it was made free at least once before, since I already
have this in my library, and this isn't the sort of game for which I'd
normally pay money. So you may have it already too. But if not, here's
    your second chance).

I grabbed it and #2. Looks interesting, thanks Spalls.

I might even install it and play it for a while if I remember it!

That's the spirit! Get the the game now, because who knows when you'll
be stuck on a desert island (inexplicably connected to the electrical
grid and the internet) and need something to play until you're
    rescued. It could happen! ;-)

    Its actually pretty good.

It at least /looks/ marginally more entertaining than "Life Is
Strange", which annoyed me with all its angst and Hollywood-esque
    teen-drama.

(On a side note related to bad Hollywood depictions of real life: I
had to give up watching the lastest season of "Life Is Strange"
because the bullying the characters endure is so comically
over-the-top that it distracts from the rest of the story. That's
right; I found the idea of an extra-dimensional wizard killing people
less offensively unrealistic than the supposedly 'mundane' threats the
    kids endure.)
