Maybe I need to figure out a new method of distributing the keys? The embed-in-text seemed to work for a while, but I even as I was doing
it, I knew it wasn't foolproof; it's not really too hard to run a
script to look for three 5-character sets of nonsense attached to real
words in some text.

But I'm not sure of any workable alternative that keeps it all on
Usenet. :-(

Could try reverse order. Section 3, Section 2, Section 1.

I don't know, they seem to keep up with the tricks eventually.

It is all on Usenet. Lurkers are getting them. If you want to beat the
lurkers (or me) you need to be fast. The only game I wanted and missed
was because I was too slow. And as it turns out, I had that game
anyway on EPIC without even knowing it.

Yeah, I honestly thought the thing about bots grabbing keys were said
in jest and had become a meme at this point, do people seriously
believe that?

If bots were active here no one else would be able to claim any games,
