Why pit your game directly against your competitor's when - if you
just wait a month - you'll probably get much higher sales? And
    publishers - especially the so-called "triple-A" publishers - are
also releasing fewer games each year too. So the December flood has
become a trickle. It's probably for the best. But I still miss it.

I don't really miss it because back in those days I didn't have enough
time or money, so seeing the sudden avalanche of games I wanted to play
would cause me a bit of anxiety. Nowadays it doesn't really matter since
I have plenty of both, the only reason I always wait for sales and
discounts is because I'm a thrifty bastard - there's no denying that :D

But there's one thing I miss terribly around this time of the year,
though - snow and cold in NYC. It just doesn't happen anymore which is altogether sad and a scary since the climate has been changing so
rapidly al over. I can't even tell you the last time we got more than an
inch or two of snow here.

Some numbers for ya peeps: the total amount of snow for the past 3 years combined was 58 inches and there were no blizzards at all, only
dustings; that's less than the 59 inches for 2010 alone and if you add
    up 2014, 2015 and 2016 you'll get 135 inches!

So far this year has been so warm I've had the windows in my apartment
opened 24/7 and I was wearing a tshirt outside over Thanksgiving, that's
just wrong. I can't wait for Snow Runner to go on sale, in the meantime
I'll be starting a new playthrough of The Division 2: Warlords of New
York DLC. Any other games where it's winter in NYC? :D

I'm by no means a disbeliever in climate change, but honestly when I
look at the snowfall history chart for NYC....it definitely looks like
you've had a run of sparse years, but looking at overall trends since
    1868, I can't see a reason to believe history wouldn't repeat and
you'll eventually see a turnaround of more snow. Of course, when that
happens, the abundance of snow will feel abnormal, and is sure to be
touted as evidence of climate change by the media :)
