    Oooookay. What about it?

    It's free!

    That should be enough.

But if it's not, here's my thoughts.

Actually, I'm not sure if I've played this one. I know I've played
SOME of the games in the Orcs and Men franchise... but was it this
one? I can't remember. All the games in that franchise seem to come
together into a sort of blur. Styx is a fantasy-esque stealth game -
the eponymous hero is a goblin, not much for combat but pretty good at
being sneaky - but beyond that the games always felt sort of generic.

I'm not sure these games would qualify as Indie titles - they're not
from the big-name AAA publishers, but neither are the developers a
bunch of guys in a garage; they're more of the shrinking group of
mid-sized developers. Still, the game feels Indie in its general lack
of polish. They really need somebody to evaluate if all the ideas
they're pumping out fit well together, if the story and setting are
interesting and cohesive. There's talent at Cyanide Studios, but their
products could use somebody with a strong, coherent vision of what the
game should be. Right now it seems all sort of a tumble.

But if all you want is to be a wise-cracking goblin sneaking about and backstabbing people, this isn't a terrible game for that. It's just
that it could be so much more.

Also, it's free (did I mention that?) and it makes The Number
    increment by one.

Ok, but Ant has done this many times before so I am just used to it I

I had already bought this on sale on Steam. This demonstrates what a fool
I am for purchasing games at all.

But I like to dupe games across services, so yoink!

That is a large Sub-Number of Brother Spalls' Number.

I've had that happen. I've even had it happen where I bought a game
I already had free from somewhere else because I didn't check/forgot.

Often enough that I'm wary of buying new games. I often joke that as
soon as I purchase a game, the certainty of it being offered as a
freebie (or showing up on HumbleChouce) trebels.

However, given that I purchase from multiple sources (Steam, GOG,
UPlay, Origin, etc.), this helps reduce the number of times I get
games I can't claim. I've no problem owning the same game on GOG /and/
Steam (or others), because this helps protect me from having that
purchase disappear outright should one company go out of business.

But how often does it happen? Well, one good start to counting the
frequency is to add up all the games I give away during the
c.s.i.p.g.action XMas Give-Aways. That's where a lot of the overflow
    ends up. ;-)
