• CD Roms

From Dave Plowman (News)@21:1/5 to All on Sun Aug 1 13:12:39 2021
Tried to play a CD rom today on this RO 4.39 RPC, a pretty rare occurrence. Have two machines, a player and writer. Both spun up the disc.

On clicking on the Icon, get the message 'Soft load driver not present.'

I have a Blitz card for the HDs, but pretty certain the CDs are on the IDE
bus. And did at one time work OK.

Do you have the CDFSSoftATAPI module loaded (and not unplugged)?

I don't remember if there is a way to say what kind of CD drive you have available - try *Help CD. (including the dot) and see if there's anything relevant.
