• Thinkpad R51-2883 best linux to install

From Mr.E@21:1/5 to All on Fri Jan 22 16:32:08 2016
I have a Thinkpad R51-2883 that is still on xp. Want to use with linux.
I have other machines with xubuntu 14.04 and 15.10 but unsure of what to
    try on this "forcepae" machine.
    Thanks for ideas!

    Have a look here, Lubuntu

    https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PAE

It may actually be possible to cheaply (for less than beer money, see
eBay!) upgrade the CPU to one that supports PAE (Dothan family) as
mentioned at the bottom, and then you could use a current Lubuntu /
    Xubuntu build.

The link is very much appreciated. It answers several questions.
    Thank you Adrian!
