• how to stick thinkpad rubber feet back on?

From me@bil.myplace.org@21:1/5 to All on Tue May 26 19:14:27 2020
    I like using old thinkpads...

The problem: every year or so one of the neoprene feet drops off.
I have never found a satisfactory way of glueing one back on.
I've tried double-sided tape, polystyrene cemenet, superglue
    (cynaoacrylate).

Has anyone found a way to re-attach the rubber feet once they fall off?

Does anyone know the factory method that was used to attach the feet
    during manufacture?

    All suggestions gratefully received!

I've got big rubber "feet" (sold by electronic component
distributors) on my Thinkpad to keep more room underneath for airflow
and to avoid over-heating surfaces that its sitting on.

Probably used the adhesive that came on them originally. Since
then one fell off, and I think (plus it looks like) I then used
double-sided tape on it, which has lasted a few years since.

I'd try some better double-sided tape, or similar products. Hot glue
    won't be much good.
