    Hi,
I plan to get a Thinkpad T-560, configured with

    - Intel Core i/-6600U processor
    - 15,5" IPS display 3K (2.880 x 1620)
    - Intel HD graphics 520
    - UltraNav /w fingerprint reader
    - 720p HD camera
    - 256GB SSD, to be replaced by Samsung 850 Evo 2TB
    - Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 WLAN (2x2) + Bluetooth 4.1, vPro
    - Lenovo mini DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter cable

    running under OpenSUSE Leap 42.1.
Are there any issues to consider?

Sorry, can't help with your question but just curious - are Lenovo including IPS displays again? I stopped considering Thinkpads after the T60 as, TTBOMK
it was the last ThinkPad available with an IPS display.

    Cheers,

This webpage seems to cover which models have IPS displays: http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/TFT_display

The X240 at the bottom of the table is quite recent, if not still available.

Yes I use Thinkwiki quite a lot.

    available.

I see. However it's a 12.5" ultralight with touchscreen option rather than a full sized laptop. Lenovo have always like/d IPS displays in touchscreen machines (X40, X60, X61) as they're often looked at from odd angles. I
should perhaps have said that I believed the T60 was the last full sized ThinkPad with an IPS display.

As I don't see a full sized machine listed there with an IPS display it
seems I might have been right. :-/

Thanks for that Anthony. It seems that lately Lenovo have discovered why
many people used to buy ThinkPads - for unashamedly top-of-the-line specs -
and so have reintroduced IPS displays on top end models. (This after not offering IPS on larger machines for most of a decade and losing customers to EliteBooks because of it.)

It's so noteworthy that the first review mentions the fact in its title.
Also I see Lenovo has dropped the name "ThinkPad Edge" and now just call
them "E Series" - another good move as I didn't hear good things about Edge machines (other than propoganda).
