  • Darwin: x48 emulator no response upon initialize

    Hi

    x48 was working before upgrading to MacOS 15.

    Now upon:
    $ x48 -initialize -rom /opt/local/share/x48/gxrom-r &

    no response. The 48GX Window does not appear.

    I tried using my own rom-data from my calculator with the same result.
    However the file is not different compared to the one included in the
    installed package from MacPorts.

    Catalina does not allow 32 bit apps to run.
    Look in About this Mac > System Information > Software > Applications
    (may take a while to appear) and clock on 64-bit until No appears first. Those are the 32 bit applications.

    They will run under OS X 14 (Mojave), but not under 15 (Catalina.).

    Hope you have an older Mac available.
