Thought I would post on here, since I
am doing something really retro, and
see if anyone is still reading this. So
if you are through whatever medium
you are using.. Reply. Thanks. I am a
bit owner, user of 8bit and 16bit
hardware. I really enjoy the hardware
end of it much more than the
software. I love to upgrade, update and
mod things. So just posting this up
on Particles BBS.. which has a USENET
msg board.. I will now go see if I
can see this using a USENET brower on
    my pc.

I'm reading you and responding via my subscription to the Usenet group via Google Groups. I'm more of a software person, but I break out the soldering iron and the desoldering pump from time to time.

I have a few Atari eight bit systems and the Portfolio. I also have several pieces from across system generations from Commodore, Apple, HP, Tandy, IBM, Nintendo, Sega, Panasonic, Fujitsu, and Elektronika among others in working hardware. I'm not against
emulators, and do use them. There's just something about having the real thing though.

You popped up over at shodanscore.com. I admit usenet has few decent conversation boards these days. I usually listen in on roguelike boards and arcade game marketplaces. Always keeping an eye out for cheap arcade cabinets in my area.

I have a ton of Atari hardware, most of it in storage until I get a better office to play with it, but I got some fun mods like Incognito in my 800 and the similar Ultra 1MB in my 130xe.

STe has a CosmosEx which is just one of the best mods, IMO. Nothing like having ethernet on an ST.

Yep. I pop on from time to time but most of my time getting messages for retro is either on Facebook or AtariAge (Although recently Albert changed DNS and now I can't seem to access the site from my home system)

Still here. Not very busy in here these days. Still some cool stuff being built for these machines.
