I have been doing some extensive testing with uploading and downloading to the 9640 News BBS with the use of the WiModem233.
So far, the testing has only been completed with the Geneve and I will be following up soon with the TI-99/4A.
With the Geneve using the WiModem232, one must issue two commands:
AT&K1 (hardware handshaking)
AT*T1 (Telnet mode on)
This is a Telnet BBS written for Telnet, thus the need for the second command. Heatwave BBS and FusionBBS require AT*T0. Heatwave and FusionBBS both require the AT&K1 as well.
OK, with the Geneve, Port will handle file transfers at 38400 on downloading, and 9600 on uploading.
With MyTerm and with Telco, downloads are capable at 4800 baud. Too many characters are dropped at 9600 baud.
Hope this helps some people.
