• Connect MacBook by LAN to Windows PC

From Fokke Nauta@21:1/5 to All on Fri Feb 25 10:44:06 2022
    Hi all,
I hope this is the correct news group.

I recently got a MacBook Air. It's connected to a LAN with Windows pc's.
In the finder I can see all the pc's, but can't connect to them. As I'm
new to Apple products, I don't know what to do to make the Macbook
    connect to a pc.
    Anybody can help me out?

    Thanks beforehand.

The problem has been solved. I found out that when I click on the
MacBook on "Connect", it won't work. But when I click on "Connect as", I
can enter my credentials and am able to see the shares on the pc's.

    Learned another thing from Apple.

No. This newsgroup is about the Apple ][, ][+, //e, //c, //c+, and IIgs computers using the 6502/65C02 CPU.

For modern x86 and M1 Apple computers help please use comp.sys.mac or one of its subgroups such as comp.sys.mac.comm. Thanks.

But I'll subscribe to one of these subgroups. I'll have a look.

I would advise against posting in any of the Macintosh newsgroups. I would recommend Apple's support forum at https://discussions.apple.com/welcome

Depending on the question, the main three are ...

    comp.sys.mac.misc
    comp.sys.mac.system
    comp.sys.mac.apps

but be warned, they are infested with anti-Apple trolls and
know-nothing idiots, so not really a good resource of factual / helpful information.
