From magnusfalkirk@21:1/5 to All on Wed Jun 23 07:18:48 2021
I can't seem to find a working copy of Microdot anywhere on the web. Before anybody points me to Asimov I've already downloaded the Microdot with documentation from there and expanded all of the shk files. The only one of those that runs is System II.

So is there anywhere that I can find an actual usable copy of Microdot?

    Thanks in advance,
    Magnus

    Magnus,

If your gmail address is good, and you can open a .bqy file, I'll send you
the one I have from GEnie that Jerry Kindall uploaded way back when.

    It has the following files:

    MICRODOT.SYSTEM
    STARTUP
    CAT40
    CLOCK.FIX
    MICRODOT.DOC

Let me know if you'd like it.

One caveat -- it's called a 'Demonstration Disk'. Whether it's full featured
or not, I really can't say.

The docs say for $29.95, you'll get a printed manual. ;-)

Since Jerry (its author) is available on the internet, maybe you could ask
him directly, if this doesn't get you there.

Thank you very much. I'd appreciate you sending it to me. I've downloaded pretty much all the software for the II line, including GS, that I could find so I'm pretty sure I have something that will open the .bqy file. Thanks again!

Yeah I've got Silvern Castle and have enjoyed playing it. I was surprised to get a copy of Microdt in my email from him.

Found a site for freeware Kitchen Sink Software: http://www.kitchen-sink.com/a2/index.html

But no MicroDot on there. Alas! That site does have Eric Sink's email,
so perhaps you could try asking him?
