    Oh, here's a random question.

I have this output shown below of a utility named GET_ACCESS. If I recall correctly, in order for this to work, it had to be shared from the system console.

But where did it come from? I'm pretty sure I didn't write it, I definitely don't have it in my archives, and I didn't find it in the PULSE catalog. Does anyone know?

    OK, GET_ACCESS -USER 8

    Segment 6001, Ring1: Null, Ring2: Null, Ring3: RWX
    Segment 6002, Ring1: Null, Ring2: Null, Ring3: RWX

I have this SEGMENTS thing in AUST_UTILS which is related but not the
same. Seems like yours would require that the segment with the
descriptor tables be shared read. The program itself wouldn't, I don't
    think.

This utility is another handy one for the system administrator. It allows him/her to see which segments are being used by each user, including the SYSTEM.
    .sk 1
You may see the segments used by all users or those of a specific user.
You also have the choice of full or brief output.
    .sk 1
Usage is: SEGMENTS [-LIST | -BRIEF]
    .+ [-ALL | -USER nn | -OWN]
    .+ [-HELP]
    .+
SEGMENTS on its own uses defaults of -LIST & -ALL.
    .b
-LIST lists out all the segments being used by the user(s).
    .b
-BRIEF gives the summary of segments only (-LIST prints this
    summary out as well)
    .b
    -ALL prints all users.
    .b
-USER nn prints out the segments of that user only (nn is th user number).
    .b
-OWN prints the segments of the user himself (same as -USER nn where nn
is that persons own user number).
    .sk 1
SEGMENTS -HELP prints out a list of all the options.
    .eject

Thanks for jogging my memory. Yes, definitely, I think that was why I got called on the carpet for it.
