• Preparing for the 2020 MCP Express release

From Paul Kimpel@21:1/5 to All on Sun Jul 19 14:51:00 2020
July 31st is approaching, and hopefully Unisys will be releasing a new
version of MCP Express within the next couple of weeks. I have just
published a post on the UNITE MCP Insider blog on how to prepare now for
that release. It's mostly about methods for backing up your files, and specifically how to preserve your current disk image across the reinstall.

I recommend you read this post before uninstalling your existing MCP
Express version. Questions and discussion can be posted as comments to
the post. Doing so requires signing up on the UNITE web site, but you
can register as a Community Member for free.

As soon as I can get my hands on the new XE release, I publish another
post on my experience with it and how you can work with the preserved
disk image discussed in the current post.

Yesterday I downloaded and installed the latest release of MCP Express.
I was a little disappointed that it still runs MCP version 59.

I also had a 'blue screen' DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL problem caused
    by JANUS.sys under windows 10/2004.
I believe this has been discussed before, but don't remember what the resolution is.
