    Does the SPARC install ISO include OpenZFS or do you have to bootstrap
    a new kernel?

    And can you boot ZFS?

    There's an article here for 9.x which describes a zfs root, here:

    so I guess it must be there on 11.x as well.

    Not attempting that here at present, as the specific goal is to try and
    get gui capability of some sort working. Will fudge a way through
    to that goal, then tidy up, recap and look in depth later :-)...

    Haven't looked in enough depth to be sure, but looks like a zfs root is possible, but not as automated as per Solaris install...
