• SCSI error during boot

From Warren Hardy@21:1/5 to All on Fri Feb 28 11:52:15 2020
My system stopped working it is an Ultra 60.

    I get the following error

    WARNING: /pci@1f,4000/scsi@3 (glm0):
Connected command timeout for Target 0.0
    WARNING: /pci@1f,4000/scsi@3 (glm0):
    got SCSI bus rest

Then the message continues like this for SCSI 3,1 and target 0.0, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0 etc

    Then the system hangs.

This all happens after the system has started booting Solaris. I have swapped out drives. Tried boot from a dvd, I get the same.

Any ideas on what is the cause or probably fix.

Sounds like a controller fault, but have you checked cabling ?...

I moved the computer, checked all the cables, nothing changed, then I moved the computer again, fixed itself

    Hum. :-/

In my experience, such fixes have a tendency to not remain fixed and /
or unfix themselves in an unpleasing way.

    Good luck.
