• Reprogramming Blade 100 NVRAM ... without MKP command!?

Hi, so I've repaired plenty of Ultra 5 and 10 NVRAM chips, hack apart, install coin cell, reprogram, no problem at all. But recently I bought an old Blade 100, which typical of old Sun's, had a failed NVRAM - being as I've done so many I didn't think
anything of it, and expected the same routine... once the machine was reassembled I was hit with a bit of a hiccup that I wasn't expecting... The Blade 100 OBP doesn't have the MKP command!?

I've googled the heck out of a solution, and found a Github repo that had a "Blade 100 NVRAM fix", but that didn't work. Is there a Sun engineer in the house that knows how to reprogram these later machines, without the MKP command!?

Can you stick it in another machine that has MKP?

I have another post detailing how to program IDPROM using debug at: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/comp.unix.solaris/iYkKp5T5i-c

Awesome, thank you! I'll work my way through it. I don't have another machine running OBP 4.0 with a socketed IDPROM socket sadly. But that guide looks like a good start...
