RA2 is quite possibly my favorite RTS of all time. I'm speaking of
the online play, I don't recall spending much time in single player,
because to me the whole point to this type of game is human-on-human
    tactics.

RA2 was great because given a reasonable level of skill, there was
always a number of tactical possibilities beyond just the speed of
building up enough forces and rushing your opponent. The game play
can be pretty amazing against a worthy opponent.

I've had it sitting in my list of Origin games for a long time. The
built-in multiplayer is no longer operational, there are third party
solutions I have not investigated. Maybe I will. Bet I get my ass
handed to me the first few rounds.. lol. I'm no doubt rusty, not
having played in probably 14 years, but I bet 2-3 hours of practice
would turn things around once I remembered some of my old tricks. Once
upon a time I was crazy good at that game ;)

Here's a link for those who want to own the last truly fun RTS ever
created (except maybe Age of Empires HD).
