    Indeed you are, because you are using a newsfeed filtered through
    GoogleGroups, which makes it difficult for people to realize they are responding to a post originally written (in this case) in 1998.

    Usenet is still going strong (well, it's still going) and we're always
    happy to welcome new commenters. However, you are probably better off
    using a dedicated Usenet provider rather than relying on GoogleGroups.
    The most frequently recommended is Eternal-September.org, largely
    because it is a free service. You'll need a proper NNTP client
    (Microplanet Gravity is free http://mpgravity.sourceforge.net/ ) for
    best results.

    Comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.strategic doesn't see much traffic these days;
    computer game conversations have mostly consolidated around Comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.action so you're welcome to join us there.
    However, if it is just Constructor you are interested in, you may be
    out of luck; it was a quickly forgotten game even when it was new and
    your "necropost" was the first mention I've seen of it in decades ;-)
