  • CompControl CC112 68030 VME board

    Hello,

    I just got a CC112 CPU board from CompControl equipped with a 20Mhz
    MC68030 and a pair of EPROMs with OS-9.
    No documentation available on the internet, any of you have anything on
    this board?

    No, nothing here available. But there is a web site
    www.compcontrol.com, and there is a mail address info[at]compcontrol.com

    Compcontrol B.V. was a company from "Einhoven, Holland". The "OS-9
    Sourcebook 1988" lists address, phone and fax. If you want to try this
    way? :-)

    No answer from Compcontrol, their website dates back to 1996, the
    company has probably disappeared for a while.

    But the web server is active, somebody pays the fee for the domain.
    Don't give up :-)

    I hope there is a former employee or founder who preserves some
    remaining parts.

    The domain expires on 2023-05-21, we will soon know if there is still
    someone who cares.

    I also tried webmaster (at] compcontrol.com, we'll see.

    Checking on archive.org. that web site is basically unchanged, listing pretty much the same products, since 1996. Nowhere does it list the "CC-112" product. So when does the "CC-112" date from? According to the printed labels on the ROMs/EPROMs here,
    that version of OS/9 was written in 1991 ("91-02-21" and I don't think that means "2021"!):

    They have two "CC-112" boards for sale. You might like to ask them if they have any manuals with them.

    In 1996 that CompControl web site listed:

    CC133 ­ 12 Channel Incremental Encoder Interface
    CC92 ­ 32 Isolated Digital Inputs
    CC94 ­ 32 Isolated Digital Outputs
    CC121 ­ ARCNET Interface
    CC175 ­ Dual Channel Intelligent CAN Interface

    In 2006 they'd added a CC433. That's still there now (as a "BI433"). Most previous (27 year old) products aren't there any more.

    I followed your advice and got a reply from one of the board designers
    who has the Framemaker doc and the HP-GL schematic but that's the only
    reply I got. I asked him twice if it was possible to obtain these
    documents but my emails remained unanswered (except for an
    acknowledgement of receipt) :-(
