Was that when facts supposedly mattered? Or was it merely lip-service?

Regardless, those who decried that "facts no longer matter," no longer matter. --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05

Glad to see you peeking in here. Not much to see, though.

Although I did get TIGERS ON THE HUNT. With the SQUAD LEADER counters
mod, it's pretty damn good. Takes *forever* to play, but then so did
    SL.

And it does reinforce how well-designed SL was. It's gamey as all hell,
what with all those phases, but ... it still works. Been playing it for
    some time now.

Still. Can't remember the last PC game I got. The genre is about as
    dead as dogshit.

OK. Funniest thread title: "Please help me decide on cable or ADSL."

It was a different world, no?

Unsurprisingly, 2013 was when MNO appeared within this group and tried to pass itself off as a real game.

Everything MNO touches turns to faeces.

Sure did. My current favourite at that level is Band of Brothers though - correct periodic feel and low rules overhead.

Yeah, well, dug their own grave I say. Monsters and simpleton games - I didn't need either.

It was cable all the way for me - back in the late nineties I paid good money to have cable conduits to every room in the house, then some jerk invented wifi :)

I have to admit the first thing I looked up was that "theropods & chickens" discussion. A shining example of how loons can be chased from non-moderated groups if ever there was one.

I miss un-moderated game forums as I seem to attract the attention of moderators pretty quickly. And not in a good way. Luckily my local independent political forum is pretty relaxed on the moderation and I'm having a ball there - and some bonus fun with
the upcoming US election as well :)

Hah! I'd forgotten that one! I'll have to look it up.

But there were some great ones. Henri Fatboy and the "People's Peace
Treaty. That was a favorite of mine.

Ah! Probably the best threat EVAH! Don Maddox and the Disappearing
    Posts from SZO.

Eddy Sterckx - "Karp Fisherman!" Are you still angling?

As I recall, it was James D. Burns who absolutely flattened this sucking
asshat with perhaps the best post ever. I'm gonna have to find it.

But we did get FALLOUT4. What a monster of gameplay.
