    Looks like Tim is pulling the plug on one of my favorite devices- the
    iPod Shuffle.

    I use mine regularly riding my exercise bike and it's gone through the
    clothes washer twice now with no ill effects. Better be more careful
    with it though..

    No, *Apple* is dropping it. Apple > Tim Cook. And there were no doubt many people actually involved in the decision to drop it. But by all means feel free to pick on one single person if it helps you feel better in some small way.

    Yep, and as anyone with a clue knows, it wasn't just Tim Cook sitting
    there saying "STOP!". Multiple people were part of the decision making
    process. : )

    Ya' know you used to be one of the best participants in this NG. You
    were quick with a concise, well focused solution to even the most
    esoteric or convoluted technical problem. You've helped me out several
    times.

    Nah. Nothing self-righteous about wishing for basic civility. Regular
    trolls here love to blame everything they dislike about Apple products
    on either Tim Cook or Jonathan Ive - even going so far as to give them disparaging nicknames - as if they are the sole contributers to the
    decisions Apple makes as a company which is patently ridiculous if you
    know anything at all about the culture there. Anyway, keep that stick
    where it is. Nobody else wants it.
